A New Herrington.....

On Friday, February 15th, Scott and Lisa gave birth to a 7 pound 1 ounce baby girl. Her name is Kingsley Bonner. They went home from the hospital on Saturday. Mom and Kingsley are doing great.....

Laura and I are so excited for Lisa and Scott. We know they are going to be great parents...gbh

A time for firsts

Hey....It has been a while.....Since I blogged last, we have had 2 firsts in the Herrington Household.

First, before the New Year Savannah decided to be a daredevil on her new roller skates and fell and broke her arm. Fortunately, she was wearing wrist and knee guards. If she had not had on the guards her arm would have been broken badly. But, she will get her cast off about 4 weeks after the accident.

Second, Madison just celebrated her first birthday on January 6th. I can't believe that it has been a year. It seems that she was just being born yesterday. But, it also seems like she has been around for years.

Well, gotta go...I will write sooner next time. A couple of pictures are included below...gbh

Christmas Time is here.....

Merry Christmas!!!!

Sorry for not blogging sooner, but we have been busy planning Christmas. I wanted to share a couple of Christmas pictures, and they are below....

This will be Madison's first Christmas, but she doesn't really have a clue. She does, however, like the lights and presents everywhere. Charles and Savannah is a different story. They are sooooo excited about Christmas morning. We will catch heck trying to keep them in bed until 5:00 that morning.

Happy Thanksgiving and I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday season. Laura has already decorated our home. If it were nighttime in the picture below, you would see the Christmas tree already aglow in the upstairs window.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, I wanted to mention a few things. We are so thankful for Madison being born healthy and staying healthy throughout this year. We are thankful that Charles and Savannah are doing so well in school. They are also very well behaved and respectful to others. Also, we are thankful for my mom and dad and all that they do for us. Laura's mom and dad are also such a blessing in our lives and I am thankful for them.

But, the one person that I really have to mention is Laura. She is such a blessing. She stays home with Madison all day. Then, handles Charles and Savannah when they get home from school (homework, sports, dance, etc...). She would love to have a career to bring in income for our family, but instead she works even harder at home at a very unappreciated job. (I love you Laura.)

These are just a few of the main blessings that I want to thank God for. He is so good to us.

Halloween.....

It is that time of year again.....Charles and Savannah were sooooo excited about going trick-or-treating. Madison did not really care....she was just along for the ride. We went into Hartsville to walk through a couple of neighborhoods.

We walked College street first where my cousin Sobie lives. Then, we went over to Kalmia Place. We parked at the Bizzell's house and walked from there.

Going to the Mountains...

This past weekend our family went to Lake Lure. We had a great time. We took some friends with us (the Hudson's and the Roos'). Below is pictures of my two girls. Madison and Savannah are growing up.

Also, below are Savannah and Charles with Cole and Abby. And, a family picture minus Madison, who was taking a nap. These pictures are from the top of Youngs mountain. We took a ride up there to take in the views.

Overall the weather and company were great. We look forward to going back soon.....gbh

Football is Here!!

Football is in full swing in McBee. This is the first year that Charles has played in full pads. He played Flag Football last year. Charles has done really well for his first year. He is in the 3rd grade and is having to play against kids in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th grades. He has been mainly playing Defensive Safety. He started off the year a little timid, but as the season wears on, he is becoming more & more aggressive. I think he has figured out that it hurts a little less if you are the one doing the hitting.

Savannah is in her 2nd year of cheerleading. There team is doing very well. I am so proud of how she sounds off in her cheers. Last year, she was a little bashful. But this year, she is more confident.

Madison and a Clemson trip

I just wanted to add another picture of Madison because she did not get to go to the Clemson Furman game on 9/15.

Laura was about to give her a bath.....

Savannah with her cousin Jessica who is in her 2nd year at clemson. We were enjoying tailgating before the game.

Charles was just chillin' before the game.....

Finally, we took this picture of Charles and Savannah just before going into the game. We had a really good time that day. I can't wait 'til next year when Madison is a little older, and we can take her.

I am sorry for the post being so late....next time I will do better......gbh

New kids picture, birthday, and a grown girl

Last week I promised to post an updated picture of the kids. Well here it is. This picture was around the first part of August.

Also, Charles' birthday was on September the 3rd. He turned 9 years old. He celebrated by having friends come over to the Lake House. We went boat riding, and the kids swam for a couple of hours.

Finally, I wanted to post this picture of Madison looking outside. I can't believe how big she has gotten. She just turned 8 months on the 6th of September. She has also started standing by herself without holding on to anything. Although she can only stand that way for a few seconds, I am sure it won't be long until she is off-and-running.

I will try to post at least once a week......Gary
